We reflected on the perception of failure, and heard advice on how to learn from and get past mistakes while building resilience and personal growth.

Our audience heard from pioneering women working in industries where they are often outnumbered by men. Panelists discussed how they tackled challenges and the experiences they had to go through in their respective industries. Speakers included a vice-president of sales, an engineer, a pilot, and more.

Fall 2021 Virtual Series- Working it Out
Whether you've been working from home, searching for a job, or adapting to new working environments, the pandemic has permanently altered our relationship with work. In FTG's first virtual series, we discussed how to navigate these changes, the different types of work we experience throughout our lives, and how to recognize our core values to set boundaries around them.

A virtual evening learning from professional coaches, Marnee Bruno, Robin Lacambra, and Shilbee Kim, with a special opening address by Emily O’Brien, founder of Comeback Snacks. We discussed discovering our authentic voice, how to leverage our ego as our ally, and how to find our passions, all in the pursuit of becoming a better leader.
October 18, 2018 - Allyship: Diverse people equals better outcomes
This event discussed past experiences where partnerships and support from diverse teams and members of the opposite sex have been instrumental in getting through challenges to achieve success. The night opened with a keynote presentation by Brooke Leland, SVP & General Manager of Cossette Media, followed by a panel discussion with David Yee (Head of Enterprise Digital Marketing, Adobe), Ideshini Naidoo (CTO, Wave Apps), Hussein Fazal (CEO, SnapTravel), and Devorah Lithwick (SVP & Chief Brand Officer, Bell), moderated by Sarah Thompson (Chief Strategy Officer, Mindshare), and closed with small-group sessions ranging from hands-on workshops to fireside chats.

We learned all about how to manage credit, real estate investment, and how to manage and grow your wealth with experts from Wealthsimple, Sun Life, RBC, Blue Elephant Realty and more!
November 9, 2017 - Ladies Who Tech
The panelists and mentors for our “Ladies Who Tech” event all worked in a variety of tech roles from digital marketing to machine learning. Panelists included Inmar Givoni, Director of Machine Learning at Kindred.AI, Sylvia Ng, VP of Growth and Product at 500px, Shannan Lamorre, VP Operations at Addictive Mobility and Patricia Lim Show Chen, Director of Digital Marketing Development and Deployment. The panel was followed by networking and 1-on-1 mentorship speed-dating.
